Neurological team was great

Dr Waits is an exceptional person. My husband has been going through severe back pain and was very nervous about having surgery that would require pins and rods. He was told by a couple of doctors in the past he is to old for surgery. Dr. Waits went over the X-rays and told us he could do a less invasive procedure. He put my husband concerns at ease and was able to grow scheduled surgery very quickly. All the staff was very helpful. I would highly recommend Dr. Waits and Longstreet.

We have appreciated Dr. Waits' ability to listen and provide helpful feedback. When I needed a second surgery within a couple of weeks of the first, he used the neurosurgical team to determine the cause of my regression and create the appropriate response to correct my decline. We appreciated the detail from the team and Dr. Waits resulting plan and execution there of. Without their attention to detail and quick action, I fear I would have more permanent nerve damage. We look forward to continuing our work with Dr. Waits as we progress in the PT program to gain increased mobility. We are grateful for his monitoring my progress for the first full year after the surgery. At our most recent meeting, his candor about the time it takes to overcome the impact on nerves and muscles was greatly appreciated. It gives me hope for continued improvement and hopefully the ability to walk with and possibly without a walker or cane.

We appreciate the time and efforts that were spent, the extra care looking into and following along in between each procedure and the follow-ups to make sure that her healing and everything was proper and there were no issues and by showing the extra care by following with the other doctors in taking to see how her progress was going. And I just appreciate the care that we received from all that were involved.

Dr. Waits and his staff always treated me good and they fought my insurance company really hard for me and did things that I couldn't have did on my own to get the surgery approved and I really appreciate him and his whole staff.

Kevin Waits listened to me with all ears about my medical concerns. I am having several issues that has brought my quality of life downhill. He has ordered tests to find out what is going on. The best group of medical professionals I ever experienced. Everyone I encountered with my care was above and beyond fantastic. I almost forgot I was a patient. Everyone wanted make sure I had everything I needed and answers to a y and all my questions. I appreciate everyone there.

Unfortunately, I've met more than my fair share of doctors and surgeons over the past 25 years. But I can honestly say that Dr. Kevin Waits was the most prepared, open to discuss any questions and procedures, and the most patient Dr. as he listened to me and we decided on the best surgical procedures based on my history and my intense desire to live life again. He explained all of the options, all of the risks, the surgical time and hospital recovery, and the possibility of some inpatient rehabilitation depending on my insurance. I've never seen or felt anything close to this level of care, collaboration, and commitment to the best surgical outcome (and this includes all of the support staff, too many to name here, but you've assembled an all-star team in patient care and outcomes!
