Kevin Powell, MD

Dr. Kevin Powell is a general surgeon with NGPG Surgical Associates. He attended medical school at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and completed his general surgery residency at Good Samaritan Hospital in Ohio, where he also pursued a fellowship in surgical education to further his expertise.

Dr. Powell's focus is on minimally invasive and robotic surgical techniques to reduce scars and recovery time. He approaches patient care by including the patient and their family in the medical decision making process by sharing all of the options and talking through each one.

Outside of work, Dr. Powell enjoys spending time with his family, being active, cooking, scuba diving, photography, and several other hobbies. He is bringing advanced surgical care closer to home for the communities around Northeast Georgia Medical Center Lumpkin.
