Emily Black, MD, is a board-certified general surgeon with Northeast Georgia Physicians Group Surgical Associates, providing comprehensive, patient-centered surgical care. Her clinical interests include breast surgery, endocrine surgery, and advanced minimally invasive and laparoscopic procedures. She is dedicated to delivering high-quality, evidence-based care with particular emphasis on surgical diseases of the breast.
Dr. Black completed her general surgery residency at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville, where she gained extensive experience treating a wide range of general surgical conditions. She earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta and graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Georgetown University.
Dr. Black is an active member of the American College of Surgeons and the American Medical Association. She values a collaborative approach to care and strives to ensure patients feel informed, supported, and confident throughout every stage of their surgical journey.

We always have a wonderful experience with Dr. Black. Although my visits are about cancer- she doesn't leave you feeling scared. No doom and gloom. She gives straight forward answers and you leave feeling confident in treatment. She doesn't sugar coat but she also doesn't fear monger. If you're gonna have breast cancer she's the specialist you want. We love Dr. Black.
