David Langford, MD

David A. Langford, MD, FACS, is a cardiothoracic surgeon who practices with Northeast Georgia Physicians Group (NGPG) Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery in Gainesville. With more than 40 years of experience in medicine, he previously practiced with Piedmont Heart Institute in Macon and with Northside Hospital Gwinnett in Lawrenceville.

A native of Atlanta, Dr. Langford earned his medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine. He completed a Residency in General Surgery from the University of Mississippi Medical Center, serving as Chief Resident; a Residency in Vascular Surgery and a Residency in Cardiovascular–Thoracic Surgery from Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. He is board-certified in Thoracic Surgery.

Dr. Langford specializes in adult cardiac surgeries, including coronary artery bypass graft (CABG), aortic valve repair and replacement, aortic aneurysm repair, and mitral valve repair and replacement.
